Doreen B. Boxer

The Hon. Doreen B. Boxer currently presides over an Independent Calendar Courtroom, hearing unlimited civil litigation matters in the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. During her 36-year career in the law, she has published dozens of articles and given dozens of trainings on a variety of legal topics. In June 2024, she was appointed Superior Court Judge by Governor Gavin Newsom, having joined the bench as a commissioner in 2015. Before joining the Bench, Judge Boxer practiced criminal defense law in trial and appellate courts.
