Angela Nehmens joined Levin Simes Abrams in 2016. During law school, Angela served as the Continuity Editor for the Journal of Health and Biomedical Law. Her article, Constitutional Law – Wisconsin Supreme Court Interprets Competency Standard to Refuse Medical Treatment in Mentally Ill Patients, was published in 2014. Angela also served as a research fellow for two professors during law school; one focused on the evolution of public safety and the other on laws regarding women’s health. A portion of Angela’s research led to the joint publication of an article in the Encyclopedia of Crime and Punishment in 2015. Before returning to California, Angela practiced criminal defense in Boston at both the trial and appellate levels. Currently, her practice focuses primarily on pharmaceutical litigation, mass torts, and product liability. She presented at the Perrin National Asbestos Litigation Conference and Mass Torts Made Perfect, both in 2018.
